MN Landscape Architecture Month Activities

Raise awareness about landscape architecture by leading a design activity for a K-12 student group. We have posted two sample lesson plans from ASLA for Designing a Dog Park and Constructing a Mini-Green Roof. If you'd like to create your own, the Classroom Activity Outline Form will help organize important information to remember.

Another option is to attend a high school career fair. See the Career Outreach Form for informaiton to help get started. Check out the Career Resources page on the ASLA website for materials.

Volunteer for a work day at the Lao America Cultural Center. We will be working with the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association and the Minnesota Chapter of Architecture for Humanity to install a pervious paver patio, terraced rain gardens and other building enhancements.
