Minneapolis, MN - The Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (MASLA) has named Kathryn Aro, as its first Executive Director.

The appointment was announced by MASLA President Regina Bonsignore, ASLA, who said, “As a volunteer organization we’ve been steadily growing our programs and visibility. Kathy has a compelling combination of energy and enthusiasm and management experience. The Executive Committee is excited about working with her to take our organization to the next level.

Aro will focus on expanding MASLA’s capacity to serve its members and the community-at-large, “I’m looking forward to working with MASLA. My goal is to leverage the profession’s strengths and resources in its leading role solving the complex, interdisciplinary environmental problems we face today.”
