Todd R. Wichman, ASLA Selected to the Council of Fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
Washington, DC - Todd R. Wichman, ASLA Owner and Principal of Todd Wichman Landscape Architecture, LLC, St. Paul, MN, has been selected to join the American Society of Landscape Architects’ (ASLA) Council of Fellows. Wichman is one of 33 landscape architects selected nationally to join the council this year. The official induction ceremony will take place in Chicago on Saturday, September 19, 2009 during the 2009 Annual ASLA meeting.
The designation of Fellow is conferred on individuals in recognition of exceptional accomplishments over a sustained period of time. Election is based solely on professional excellence and outstanding accomplishments recognized by their peers and a five member national jury of the Council of Fellows. Fellows are elected based on their contributions in one of four categories: Works, Leadership / Management, Knowledge and Service
Todd Wichman was nominated by the Minnesota Chapter for his exceptional and sustained service to the profession at the local, state, and national levels. From the outset of his career, he has advocated tirelessly for a range of issues that affect landscape architects. Widely recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment on the civic level, he has further demonstrated his dedication through ongoing involvement with his community planning council, the local watershed district, the state licensure board, and local schools. Wichman earned his bachelor of landscape architecture from the University of Minnesota–Minneapolis in 1984.
